Saturday, August 27
Help launch this year’s Johnson Creek Days by joining in the annual Johnson Creek Clean Up on Saturday, August 27 from 9am - 12pm.
Volunteers will be removing litter and trash from Johnson Creek. The event will be followed by a volunteer appreciation BBQ from 12pm - 2pm at Mill Park in Milwaukie.
To register a group or yourself email firstname.lastname@example.org. We'd like to see 100 volunteers come out for this year's clean up extravaganza - help us reach that goal!
15 Team Captains are also needed for this event. Team Captain orientation is from 6-7pm on Friday, August 26 at Mill Park in Milwaukie. Don't hesitate to email Amy if you are interested in leading a group of 5-10 volunteers through a stretch of the creek this year.
This is the only large-scale in stream trash removal that occurs in Johnson Creek, so don’t miss this opportunity to help make a huge impact on this unique urban watershed!
Special thanks to Clackamas County Water Environment Services, Green Lents, Recology and the Overland Park Coalition for their partnership and support of this event.
